texas

a wedding.  in Texas,  what a wonderful excuse to pack a carry on bag and visit a state that was new to both of us.  so much fun~ celebrating with dear friends, a sweet bride and groom, lots of eating, exploring, and just being together.  we loved it.  

 a full decade since we've left alone, just the two of us, overnight, without children.  it was short, but it was soooo sweet too.  huge shoutout to our parents and Hannah for making it happen!

 Cree had a birthday~ a few weeks ago now.  his favourite part of the party was for sure having some of his most cherished people show up to celebrate with him...

we can't really even express how much we love him, and the fact that we get to raise him as our own is a weighty but indescribable privilege.  we feel it.  trusting God will lead and shape his life and praying God will hold his heart secure.

happy day, sweet boy!  may this year have oodles of joy and love as you grow and learn and become...

rockstar dad

 i've said it here before, so i'll mostly stick to some photos...but as a quick recap, Jeff is an amazing dad.  he is soooo secure in who he is, what he stands for, and his God-given purpose.  in our every day grind, this looks like a dad who is steadfast, who is at peace, who is calm and rolls with the many waves with the most genuine character of joy and trust that absolutely inspires me to be more that way.  

he loyally loves our seven~ those sweet faces above that i can post here, but he's also loved so many more that i can't show.  all of them so dear and blessed by his consistency and sacrifice and incredible integrity.  

love you to the moon, Jeffrey.  you're such a keeper!
